The club was founded by Brian Fry, a local valley resident with a passion for wine and food and just how great the two can be when they are paired well together.
Brian worked on the corporate side of the wine business for five years as a fine wine specialist. He also worked in various capacities in the restaurant business including serving as the Wine Steward for Avalon at Squaw Creek Country Club. He currently serves as Wine Director for The Youngstown Club. Brian writes a weekly wine and beer column for The Youngstown Vindicator and appears on the WKBN and WYTV newscasts discussing wine and food. Brian graduated from YSU in 1992, where he attended on a full tennis scholarship.
The club meets for wine events at least twice a month at local restaurants and clubs. We hope you can join us soon for a wonderful evening of food and wine!
